Frequently Asked Questions about Parties

Q. How many people can the party room hold?

A. The party room can hold up to about 36 people. If your party is larger than this, you may reserve the main dining room, which can hold up to about 60 people. If need be, you may reserve both rooms.

Q. How much does it cost to reserve the party room?

A. The party room is free most of the time as long as you use a party menu (see below). After 4:00 on Friday, Saturday, or holidays, parties of under 20 people will have to pay a fee based on size if they want to reserve the entire room, though they may reserve part of the room for free.

Q. How much does it cost to reserve the main dining room?

A. Parties on Sunday-Thursday (except holidays) or before 4:00 may reserve the main dining room for free as long as they use a party menu (see below). Parties after 4:00 on Friday, Saturday, or holidays may have to pay a fee depending on the size of the party. As with the party room, you may always reserve part of the main dining room for free.

Q. What is a party menu?

A. A party menu is a special menu used by parties that costs a fixed price per person and offers lists of foods from which guests can choose their meal. Because it only lists the foods you want, it is simpler than ordering off of the normal menu and facilitates faster service. Additionally, a party menu will include the title of your event and is more festive than the standard menu. Click here to see a typical party menu.

Q. How do I select my party menu?

A. You can either use one of our Taste of Italy menus or make a custom menu (at no extra charge). To use a Taste of Italy menu, simply e-mail us or call us at (703) 669-8600 to let us know which menu you will be using and which items from the Taste of Italy menu you want on your party menu. To ensure timely service, parties are asked to include no more than two appetizers and no more than six entrees on their menus. To make a custom menu, first look at our standard menu, available in our menu section, and select the items that you want. Then, when you’re ready, e-mail the list to us and we’ll make your menu for you. Note that you may change the menu at any time up to 2 days before the date of the party.

Q. What is included in each guest’s meal?

A. If you’re using a Taste of Italy menu, each guest may have one item from each list. If you’re using a custom menu, each guest may order one each of the Beverages, Wines, Salads, Main Dishes, and Desserts, as well as unlimited ice water, bread and butter and each Appetizer is shared by all guests (we will make the equivalent of one appetizer per person).

Q. What is the price per person?

A. If you’re using a Taste of Italy menu, the price per person is printed on the bottom of the menu list. If you’re using a custom menu, the price will be based on which items you choose for the menu; when you e-mail us the menu, we’ll let you know how much it will cost (you can then change it if need be).
